   Felipe Korzenny
Professor and Director of the Center for Hispanic Marketing Communication

(in english)
Many argue that Hispanics groups in the US are very different from each other, and that strategies to reach them need to be very specifically targeted. While heterogeneity does exist, there are common denominators that make US Hispanics a great target. In his presentation, Dr. Korzenny will address differences and similarities among Hispanic groups in the US, and will emphasize how credit and collection efforts can benefit from this understanding. He will present archetypal case studies to highlight the differences that make a difference when marketing to US Hispanics. He will also cover segmentation as an important tool for better understanding and targeting Hispanics. Further, Dr. Korzenny will discuss language considerations that are closely related to acculturation and the degree to which language usage is crucial in message generation. This presentation will help elucidate how US Hispanics are different from those in their countries of origin, and will assist the audience in thinking about how to strategize for success by means of cultural positioning.

Latin America: the next India?

A great deal of noise has been about of offshoring customer care on global basis. While other countries like India and the Philippines took center stage in this movement, slowly but surely Latin America has assumed an important place in the offshoring trend. The region is now becoming increasingly more attractive for the Spanish services, especially as US-based companies develop specific strategies towards local Hispanic consumers. As the expansion of business internationally can also pay-off by lower agent turnover and access to an educated labor force (especially Spanish speaking), there is no doubt that offshore facilities in the region will only increase over time. Latin America has become the world's next outsourcing hotspot due to the region's unique ability to offer dynamic, multilingual contact center services for a wide range of global markets. Discover in these Sessions how to take advantage of it.
