Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for the year 2004 are the following:

1. Participants
Candidates must be from the country where the award is given, or from any country of the region, in case of the Latin American acknowledgment. The works to be presented must be original, unpublished and written in Spanish.

2. Works Presentation
Participants should present their works in duplicate, before May 15th , to CMS offices located in 1217 Belgrano St., 12th floor - Of. 128, Capital Federal, Argentina, or to the address found in the message of admittance they will receive, establishing on the first page that they present a work for the Award subject to these terms.

The work shouldn’t be less longer than 20 pages nor more extensive than 100. Only A4 (210 x 297 mm) sheets of double-spaced typing, one side, will be accepted.

Each paper needs a title to be identified since it won’t be signed, nor identified by the author’s/ s’ name/ s, so as to ensure the Award Committee impartiality.

The word file will be attached to the Work already recorded on a 3 ½ diskette or CDROM or sent by email to premiocms@cmspeople.com. Participants personal data should not be included.

The participant’s name and work title should be sent in a closed envelope, apart from the work, together with his/her resume and the name of the research paper. This envelope will be closed till selection takes place.

It will be the author’s duty to register his/her work/s at the Copyright Registry Office, and also its consequences if he/she doesn’t.

CMS will give and indicate a registration number to each work based on the order in which they are presented during the stated term.

The works admission will be considered by the date already set. Nevertheless, as to the works send by post, CMS will accept those ones with a written evidence certifying that they have been sent during the term of admission, only in case this do not turns out to be detrimental to the normal development of the process.

3. Authorship, Originality and Spreading of the work
The work presentation implies the unconditional and full acceptance of the setting bases by the candidate, as well as:

- The candidate’s acceptance to spread his/her research work

- The author’s guarantee of his/ her authorship and his/ her work originality, and also his/ her responsibility for ensuring that the presented work does not reproduce totally nor in part any other work so far created, with total indemnity for CMS.

- The author’s guarantee of the exclusive entitlement, considering that the work must be unpublished in the whole world, without charges nor restrictions over the rights to use it, neither the fact of being subjected to another contest pending to be settled.

- The presentation of the work goes hand in hand with the commitment of its author on disregarding any possible removal, without detriment to the works return, with their originals, when they do not obtain any award nor even reach the final, once the result becomes public.

4. AWARD COMMITTEE AND VOTE
The Award Committee is made up of distinguished professionals of the C&C Industry who are members of the Steering Committee of the National Congress on Credit Risk, appointed at CMS discretion.

CMS will be in charge of setting the system to analyze, mark, select, assess and vote the papers.

5. AWARD
The author of the selected work will be given a special acknowledgment.

The Award Committee decision, which is not open to appeal, will be informed in the C&C National Congress, or in the C&C Latin American Congress, if it is the case.

6. EXPRESS SUBMISSION
In case of any doubt, disagreement, complaint or other issue which may directly or indirectly arise, in connection with the interpretation and/ or execution of the stated terms, the parties will relinquish any jurisdiction or venue, and they expressly state they will be submitted to the jurisdiction of Buenos Aires city trial court, in the Argentine Republic.
